CSIR-AMPRI Campus,
Bhopal (MP)
The project proposes design for a state-of-the-art campus for the new TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION CENTRE, for the CSIR-AMPRI, Bhopal. Thus, propelling CSIR-AMPRI, further along the path of excellence. The proposed construction aims to be a 5 star GRIHA rating.
The design shall consist of 3 inter-connected buildings, Laboratories, Research Hub and Main Administration Building. The proposed design shall undertake waste and effluent water treatments, rain water harvesting and other sustainable techniques to achieve an environment-friendly development.
The proposed design also takes into consideration the existing site conditions and attempts to incorporate the surrounding features and on-site landscape elements. The design of these facilities also takes into consideration scope for future expansion, due to increasing number of scientists and research assistants and support staff. The new buildings shall perform as an extension to the existing campus, with enhanced facilities and positive working atmosphere. The design intends to encourage inter-disciplinary interactive spaces for researchers and scholars, both in formal and informal settings.
The climatically determined passive design concepts and strategies incorporated in the proposed design, aim at developing a sustainable and zero-waste campus. These strategies shall range from interventions at very basic levels, like controlled water taps and vertical louvers in west facades; to site level amenities like root zones and bioswales. The provision of renewable energy resources shall help in eventually converting the development into a NET-ZERO campus, over a period of time.
