Government of NCT of Delhi proposed to build a 460 Bedded Mother & Child Hospital Near Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital at Khichripur, Delhi. The proposed New Block consists of a 460 Beds. The block has been conceptualized at the available plot near Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital at Khichripur, New Delhi. The proposed building shall be a (B+G+8) storeyed having RCC framed Structure on the land admeasuring 7700 sqm (approx.).

The design makes sure that all levels are provided with all the facilities so as to make them self-sufficient in terms of required support areas. Adequate area has been provided for general waiting at all floor levels with adequate toilet facilities. This helps in decongestion during visiting hours. Snack Bar/Canteen is proposed at Ground Floor level & a Small Dry Snack Counter at every level along the Visitors’ Waiting Area. Providing Snack Counters at every Floor helps in decongestion of public movement for Snacking needs & also eases pressure on use of lifts.

Conceptually the landscape design has incorporated visitor plazas as an efficient and clean space with easy access to the pedestrian and having ample seating spaces. The landscape blends with the architecture character of the built form. Main objective is to create a pleasant, efficient and fragrant outdoor environment for the patients and visitors to this prestigious complex.

All efforts were taken to make the building in accordance with the green building concept using various techniques & materials to achieve GRIHA Rating of 3. Photovoltaic cell system have been installed for all street and compound lighting. Insulation on terrace has been done using extruded Polystyrene with shiplap joint and Heat Resistant Terrace Tiles.
